It's a '69

I've always had a thing for old cars.  The way they feel, the way they smell.. a color palate that takes me back to my youth.  I remember the first time I went on a real date,  where he came and picked me up, my mom told me that if he only honked and didn't come to the door, I couldn't go.  So when his cherry red Mustang with the ITSA69 license plate pulled up, I threw the door open and waved him in.  I did not want to miss my chance to ride in that car.  I don't remember his name or much about the date, but I will always remember how it smelled when he punched the gas petal.

I have been so busy getting our new photography business up and announced that I have barley had time in the studio!  Luckily I managed to spend a few days making some custom orders and working on a few pieces for the shop.  I have some great new designs brewing inside and I can't wait to have a few days to spend working them around in my hands.

What is that old saying?  The best things come in threes?
Well, not around here.  Big thing number three is not happening.  And I wasn't too happy about it.
But as we have had time to really mull it over and ponder the universes decision,
we have totally comes to terms with it.

Let me back up.
My partner and I toyed with the idea of opening a store last summer.  So we started brainstorming and hatching ideas.  We knew that 90% of what we would be selling would be our own art.
Jewelry, paintings, photography, sculpture, etc.
And we knew that we wanted to stay local.  And support the local art scene.
So we starting entertaining our options and narrowed it down to the right spot.
And just as we thought we were getting very close to being handed keys, we weren't.
I mean, we were told we were, but then the days turned to weeks and the weeks just turned to months.

Long story short, the store fell through.
But while it was falling, and we were unaware, we started going into survival mode.
Saying things like, "Well, if it doesn't happen do you want to look for another spot?"
"Well, if it doesn't happen, do you want to plunge into something else?"
"What would you dive into?'
"Well, we do so many other things, why don't we still do something together?"

And rather than put our life on hold any longer, we started a business.  Right there in that moment of possible failure, we said, "No, I'm sorry, you'll have to come back another time.  We're busy planning our future."  And that's just what we did.

For the last two months we have been joining our forces with the one common art bond
that he and I share.

So we booked a bunch of shoots, and got out there together, and tried our chops as a pair.
And we were good!  I mean, we work really well together.
He picks up where I leave off.  And he heaves when I ho.  And it works.

So while we are still ironing out some kinks, we have a good model started.  And we are leaving it room to grow, and expand.  And heave and ho.

It's just another notch in the belt of
when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade.

We have a bit of a website up, although the real meat of it is still being worked on behind the scenes, and we have clients past and present.  So I'd say we're off to a good start.
I'm still working on the facebook page but it's up and searchable.
We would love your support where you can and comments are always welcome.

So without further adieu, Dave and I are proud to present you with
